2. Consensus Guidelines on the use of ART

The Association of Physicians of India (API) has drafted a set of guidelines for the use of Anti Retroviral Thearpy in cases of HIV infection specially directed towards Indian population. These guidelines address all the special situations and serve as a reference document for the initiation of and follow up with ART.

3. The PharmFree Initiative

American Medical Students Association (AMSA) launched an initiative in 2002 to educate medical students in USA about the influence of pharmaceutical companies on medical training and prescribing practices. This initiative has now attained a world wide recognition and medical students world over are being encouraged to be a part of it.

4. NSAIDs and Colon Cancer

A review of the mechanism of action of Non Steroidal Anti-inflamatory Drugs in the decreasing the risk of Colon cancer.

6. Management of Epilepsy in Pregnancy

An extremely useful article on a subject that has been the focus of many discussions and seminars in academic circles the world over. This article discusses the very basics of this topic.

7. Evidence Based Prescribing of Statins

An evidence based study about a very commonly prescribed group of drugs. An insightful summary of all the major statin trials till date with a developing world perspective.

8. Guidelines for use of Antiretroviral Agents for HIV-1 in Adults and Adolescents

AIDS Research Advisory Council has issued latest guidelines for the use of Antiretroviral Agents in HIV - 1 infected adults and adolescents (2006) on 4th of May 2006. These guidelines have significant changes as compared to the existing guidelines.

9. Osteoarthritis

A very well written and informative Review article on osteoarthritis. It covers all the aspects of OA like pathology,diagnosis, medical treatment and surgey.

10. Omalizumab for Asthma

An interesting exercise in clinical therapeutics of Asthma based on an upcoming and important drug. A must read for all.

11. Drug Therapy of Neuropathic Pain

A very informative article on a difficult to treat condition. this well written review is a must read for anyone connected with the medical profession.

12. HIV and Tuberculosis

A study focussing on two common comorbid conditions, HIV and TB, in India. This article establishes TB as the most common oppurtunistic infection in patients with HIV and also talks about the complications associated with ATT in patients with HIV.
